Music

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran has three premiere ensembles. The Hand Bell Choir is a traditional instrumental ensemble that teaches the basics of musicianship (reading, counting, etc.) through practice. The Sanctuary Choir is an ensemble focused on high school and collegiate choral repertoire.
We welcome all individuals at any musical levels into every ensemble. Any inquires can be sent to Ann Jones, Music Director at BartandAnnJones@gmail.com or simply show up to any and all rehearsals that interest you during the on seasons of August-May (summer common time is a break time for must ensembles).   Hand Bells Tuesdays at 7:00pm, and Choir on Wednesdays at 7:00pm.

Shepherd’s Bells

The “Shepherd’s Bells” is a group of 11 dedicated handbell ringers who range in age from middle school to senior citizen. We meet weekly on Tuesday evenings to rehearse for worship and outreach programs. Most of us played instruments as children. Playing handbells is a great way to use music skills which may otherwise lie dormant. It is a little bit like playing on a basketball team which has no subs in that each person’s presence is necessary for a performance. We have openings for anyone who would like to participate.
